Celebrating 300 Years of TAKRAF at the F60

As TAKRAF Group proudly marks its 300th anniversary this year, our colleagues around the world are taking the opportunity to come together and celebrate this incredible milestone in unique and meaningful ways. Today, we share with you the celebrations that took place near Lauchhammer on 21st June for our German colleagues.

An oversized archway that serves as an entrance gate. Many people are standing in front of it, waiting to be let in.
More than 900 employees arrived in Lichterfeld, Germany, on June 21st at the TAKRAF F60 conveyor bridge to celebrate our incredible 300th anniversary.

With bright sun and blue skies, on 21 June, our TAKRAF team from Germany came together near Lauchhammer, the birthplace of TAKRAF Group, to celebrate our incredible milestone of 300 years of innovation and excellence.

The setting was nothing short of iconic – the legendary F60 overburden conveyor bridge in Lichterfeld. This engineering marvel, once a world-record-breaking machine and now an impressive industrial monument, perfectly reflects the legacy and innovation that define TAKRAF Group.

Just a few kilometers away, in 1725, Benedicta Margaretha of Löwendal started the region’s first blast furnace in Lauchhammer. This layed the foundation for what would become TAKRAF Group. That’s why this celebration meant even more – it brought us back to where it all began.

With over 900 guests – colleagues, their families and former employees – we enjoyed a day full of sunshine, food, music and fun. Activities included guided tours of the F60, archery, bubble soccer, Segway rides and even beer crate stacking

Thank you to everyone who made this day so memorable – here’s to the next chapter of TAKRAF Group!
