PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) has awarded TAKRAF Group with a contract for the delivery of a TAKRAF Ship Loader for their copper concentrate export facilities in Indonesia. This machine forms an integral part of their MOPH-2 project, which includes a significant upgrade and expansion of their current processing facilities.

This project plays a significant role in supporting the future supply of copper - a metal that is critical to the world’s accelerating shift toward electrification and sustainable infrastructure. As demand for battery metals such as copper continues to rise -driven by the growth of electric vehicles, renewable energy systems and energy storage solutions -high performing and reliable material handling solutions become more essential than ever.

“We are honored to continue our partnership with PTFI and would like to express our sincere appreciation for their continued trust in TAKRAF,” says Thomas Jabs, TAKRAF Group CEO. “This award further reinforces our long-standing relationship, built on years of successful collaboration across multiple international initiatives. We look forward to continuing to support PTFI in delivering projects that are foundational to the global energy transition.”

“Thank you also to all TAKRAF Group colleagues and partners worldwide who contributed to securing this important contract. We are excited to see our machine in operation and to continue supporting the commodities that shape the future,” concluded Thomas Jabs.
