TAKRAF Mobile Stacking Bridges (MSBs) are designed for fast advancing dumps with small dumping heights for deep and high cast operations. MSBs consist of several up to 76 m long straight-connected bridge segments with separate single or double crawlers and a single bridge belt conveyor. The material is dumped by a short, slewable and, if required, liftable discharge boom, which is integrated into a tripper car traveling across the entire bridge length.
The major advantage of the crawler mounted MSB is continuous operation without interruptions (downtimes) to shift or relocate.
MSBs can dump circular dumps in a slewing mode operation or rectangular dumps in a parallel mode operation. With a luffable and reversable discharge boom, it is possible to dump a low cast (maximum height per geotechnical and safety requirements) and an up to14 m high cast at the same bridge location.
The bridge alignment is controlled by GPS and angle measurement between the bridge segments.
As a result of our continuous innovation and development, TAKRAF Group provides a full range of different design solutions, including:
- Single or double crawler design
- Autonomous or manual operation
The application of TAKRAF MSBs is not restricted to ON-OFF heap leach systems.
TAKRAF MSBs with total lengths of between 300 and 500 m are in operation in Chile and Mauritania.
