Advanced filtration technology for demanding mineral processing applications

DELKOR MAXDri Filter Presses are engineered for reliable performance in high capacity and high volume mineral concentrate and tailings processing applications, with a strong emphasis on structural integrity, hydraulic robustness and process efficiency to meet the rigorous demands of high-throughput dewatering circuits. Filters are designed to withstand abrasive slurries, elevated solids loading and continuous-duty operation typical of concentrate thickening and tailings management. MAXDri filters are optimized for high solids capture efficiency and low residual cake moisture, even with the fine and ultrafine particle distributions common in mineral concentrates and tailings.

Comprehensive offering

The MAXDri range of filter presses offers high availability, operational flexibility and high productivity. The stand-out features of the filters include high speed hydraulics for opening and closing of the plate pack and a two-sided cake blowing system designed to maximize drying efficiency. DELKOR MAXDri filter presses are available in a range of plate sizes with a mixed membrane configuration, from 1 m x 1 m and 2 m x 2 m to 3 m x 2.5 m, with a filtration area ranging from 30 m² to 1,600 m².

Features of the filter presses

The DELKOR Filter Press features fully automatic functionality, with a programmable logic control (PLC)-based control system for dependable performance and reliable operation. DELKOR also offers more advanced process control systems for machine diagnostics and obtaining real time operational data.

Faster and shorter cycle times are essential for maintaining high filter availability to fulfill capacity demands. DELKOR’s new generation Rapid Action Cylinders (RAC) System has two parallelmounted long stroke hydraulic cylinders connected to the plate pack with a mobile head. This, in combination with stainless steel engineered plate links and a filter plate pack that allows opening and closing within the shortest technical cycle times, improves overall equipment availability and productivity.

High capacity means reductions in the overall OPEX by reducing the number of machines required or requirements for large plate sizes to achieve the required capacity.

The DELKOR Filter Press produces the driest possible cake for tailings stacking, thus eliminating the need for tailings ponds and large areas required to process the tailings streams.

DELKOR’s laboratories perform comprehensive tests to ensure the best solutions are provided to customers.

Services cover OEM spare parts supply, upgrades, process optimization, service agreements and maintenance services.

Benefits

Increased filtration area

The increased number of chambers offered for a single 2 m x 2 m filter press with a single stroke opening and closing, gives more filtration area per installed area, with associated savings on plant construction.

Robust design

The filter press features robust structures that are engineered and verified using finite element analysis (FEA).

Complete solutions

Combining the filter press with the DELKOR Thickener provides seamless integration between sedimentation and filtration processes.
