TAKRAF Stackers

TAKRAF Group supplies a complete range of stackers for the heaping of circular or longitudinal piles, as well as for the homogenizing and blending of material. The structure of the stockpile is dependent on the specific requirements of the various bulk processes, i.e. chevron, windrow, strata or cone shell.

Tailored stacker systems

Our machines are specifically designed to our clients’ unique requirements and incorporate various solutions according to their applications, including any special machine movements, materials or automation requests.

Stacker functionality

Stackers typically move on a rail between stockpiles in a yard and usually have three directions of movement, depending on requirements:

  • Horizontally along the rail
  • Vertically by luffing (raising or lowering) the boom
  • Slewing, which is rotation of the stacker around its central axis and may not always be a requirement

Typical design structure of a stacker

Our machines generally boast a typical design structure and include a hydraulic lift system and counterweight at the rear end of the boom - this often leads to them being classified as a "balanced machine" in some countries. Nonetheless, we have also built machines to handle ore which boast an L-frame, a rope winch and a horizontal swivel boom. Also, as mentioned, we offer machines with or without the ability to slew.

TAKRAF offers various stackers, such as:

  • Compact design stackers
  • C-frame stackers
  • Radial stackers
  • Combined stackers and reclaimers

As a major benefit to our customers, TAKRAF provides complete in-house design services, starting from stockyard layout to stockyard automation and the equipment for the stockyard.
These services include:

  • Rock testing
  • System sizing and arrangement
  • Automatic operation
