Flexible mobile transfer conveyors for mining operations

TAKRAF Mobile Transfer Conveyors (MTCs) are crawler-mounted machines used as flexible connections between a mining machine and a bench conveyor. To transport the extracted material, the mobile transfer conveyor is typically integrated into an excavating or dumping system.

Mobile transfer conveyors for increased flexibility and performance

TAKRAF's MTCs are designed to handle a wide range of capacities of various bulk material types. Our crawler-mounted machines improve the performance of any mining operation and function as flexible links between mining machines and bench conveyors. In this manner, they are able to increase the shifting width of the system.

Our machines are all specifically designed to our client's unique requirements and incorporate various solutions according to their specific application. They can be equipped with one single conveyor or separate receiving and discharge conveyors.

Typical design solutions

Mobile transfer conveyors are offered in different sizes and designs, from single conveyor machines to two independent machines, each designed to meet site conditions and project requirements.

Mobile transfer conveyor with a single conveyor

As a common solution to bridge increased distances from the mining machine to the bench conveyor, the mobile transfer conveyor increases the shifting width of the system.

Mobile transfer conveyor with independent conveyors

This configuration is suited to multi-bench operations, where different bench level heights need to be bridged between the mining machine and bench conveyor.

As a result of our continuous innovation and development, TAKRAF Group provides a full range of different design solutions, including:

  • Double- or multi-crawler design
  • Complete slewable superstructure or separate slewable booms
  • Autonomous operation or operated manually

Additional design options for maximum flexibility

TAKRAF Mobile Transfer Conveyors are also employed to bridge different bench level heights, and many machine designs include two independent boom conveyors.

For maximum flexibility, TAKRAF offers mobile transfer conveyors with separately liftable booms and a material transfer point in the center of the machine. This solution allows for a greater luffing range compared to single-boom machines.

Another solution providing maximum flexibility is a mobile transfer conveyor with separately liftable and separately slewable booms. This design includes a slew bearing between undercarriage and superstructure, along with a second slew movement between the receiving and discharge booms. To ensure machine stability at any slew or luffing position, the receiving boom is equipped with a counterweight, which increases the service weight of the machine.

Benefits

Matching your requirements

TAKRAF Mobile Transfer Conveyors are tailored to specific site and operational conditions, including different linked mining machines and varying bench heights. We use our extensive expertise to assist you select the right equipment for your application.

System synergies

TAKRAF provides equipment required upstream and/or downstream of a mobile transfer conveyor, including bucket wheel excavators, connected mobile bridges and spreaders.

Value for money
