TAKRAF Mobile Reclaiming Bridges
TAKRAF Mobile Reclaiming Bridges (MRBs) are designed for reclamation of fast advancing stockpiles. Typically the MRB is working together with a Mobile Stacking Bridge (MSB) in dynamic leach pad operations (ON-OFF-heap leach). The design of the bridge-structure of the MRB is the same as that of the MSB, with the difference being the integrated equipment travelling along the bridge.
MRBs consist of several up to 76 m long straight-connected bridge segments with separate single or double crawlers and a single bridge belt conveyor. The material is reclaimed by an attached leach pad reclaimer, which is integrated into a hopper car traveling across the entire bridge length.
MRBs can reclaim circular dumps in a slewing mode operation or rectangular dumps in a parallel mode operation. With an upstream linked reclaimer, it is possible to reclaim stockpiles of up to 14 m height.
TAKRAF Mobile Reclaiming Bridges with total lengths of between 300 and 500 m are in operation in Chile.
The bridge alignment is controlled by GPS and angle measurement between the bridge segments.
The TAKRAF advantage
As a result of our continuous innovation and development, TAKRAF Group provides a full range of design solutions, including:
- Single or double crawler design
- Autonomous or manual operation
The major advantage of the crawler-mounted MRB is the continuous operation without interruptions (downtimes) for shifting or relocation procedures. TAKRAF MRBs are designed with a minimized number of bridge segments with the advantages of:
- less crawler units, less maintenance, less complex equipment control (leveling)
- reduced operating expenses
- more reliable structural design according to fatigue loads (bolted instead of welded)
Benefits
Minimized number of bridge segments
This has the advantages of fewer crawler units, less maintenance, and less complex equipment control (leveling) being required.
In addition, operating expenses are reduced.
Matching your requirements
TAKRAF Mobile Reclaiming Bridges are tailored to specific sites and operational conditions. We use our extensive expertise to assist you in selecting the right equipment for your application.
The structural design is more reliable in terms of fatigue loads (bolted instead of welded).
System synergies
TAKRAF provides equipment required upstream and/or downstream of a mobile reclaiming bridge, including mobile stacking bridges, leach pad reclaimers and connected transfer conveyors and spreaders.
Value for money
Our machines operate as flexible links between mining machines and transfer conveyors and material processing plants (i.e. concentrators and agglomeration drums).
