Advanced granulation technology for superior coal processing
Coal granulators, which are sold under license, size run-of-mine coal and removes debris at the same time. They have undergone various improvements over the years, whilst retaining the original concept, with their reputation for quality, performance, reliability and a long and efficient service life being the primary reason for their wide adoption in the international mining industry.
Coal granulator features include:
- Entire rear quadrant opens exposing rotor assembly and crushing chamber
- Standard heavy duty split bearing assemblies
- Fabricated steel frame fully lined
- Downward adjustment of all cages is forced
- Does not require external flywheel
Coal granulators and other impact crushers have played an important role in power generation, coal mining, cement production, chemical processing and other basic industries.
Benefits
Minimum of fines generated
Unlike ordinary hammer mills, where coal is shattered by hammers, the coal is broken up by floating, rolling rings of hardened steel.
Externally adjustable screen cage plate
The adjustment is performed easily using external screw mechanisms and compensates for wear to maintain correct product size.
Optional bypass chute for pre-sized material
Sized coal that is fed through the coal handling system is permitted to flow directly past the cage assembly to the discharge opening, without going through the crushing chamber. This avoids unnecessary wear of the crushing components.
Integral tramp iron removal facility
Rock and other undesirable debris is removed from the crushing cycle. This protects the coal granulator from uncrushable material that can then be regularly cleaned out through the access door.
Handles wet or dry coal
The granulator’s screen cage resists plugging because of the very high ratio of open area provided by the screen slots. This allows the machine to handle the most difficult or sticky feed material.
Cost efficient service and maintenance
A minimum of downtime is required for servicing, with quick and easy access provided to all internal components through the rear quadrant opening. The fully lined frame has easily replaced bolted liners.
