Efficient trash removal with the DELKOR Belt Linear Screen

The DELKOR Belt Linear Screen (BLS) was initially developed through extensive test work to address a major problem in carbon-in-pulp (CIP) and carbon-in-leach (CIL) processes in the gold industry, concerning the effective removal of trash from slurry. The BLS is now widely applied for other commodities such as iron, copper and mineral sands and for a wide range of trash removal applications.

The DELKOR BLS efficiently separates the relatively small amount of well-defined size fractions that exist in ground slurries, and which are coarser than the particles required for downstream processing. This ultimately safeguards and reduces any downtime of downstream equipment and improves overall plant performance. Typical trash removal applications:

  • Gold plant to remove fiber and scalp oversize
  • Flotation plant - to remove fiber to protect froth overflow points
