It all began in 1725, when Baroness von Löwendal commissioned the first blast furnace in Lauchhammer, Germany, laying the foundation for an extraordinary legacy of engineering excellence and industrial innovation. A local ironworks grew into a leading global supplier for mining, material handling, and minerals processing.
Today, TAKRAF is strong, driven by dedicated teams around the world. Reaching 300 years is not just about looking back; it's about honoring the journey and preparing for the future.

A fresh start in reunited Germany
The years following 1989/90 were a significant turning point in the history of TAKRAF Group. The political transition brought an end to the era of centralized planning. All locations had to adapt to completely new conditions, such as competing on international markets.
