DELKOR Belt Linear Screens - Fort Hills
Four parallel trains of 1 2 m2 froth screens for a bitumen froth screening facility were installed, with three screens operating and one screen on stand-by during normal operation. Each screen boasts a screen area of 7.5 m2 and includes discharge chutes and associated instrumentation. De-aerated froth feeding the screens is pumped from the steam de-aerator (supplied by a third party) to the froth screen feed distributor (also supplied by a third party). The froth screen feed distributor then discharges onto each of the 4 x froth screens, with hot process water being employed for oversize and screen washing.

The DELKOR Belt Linear Screen is primarily suited to scalping coarse oversize or trash
material from process slurries. Our linear screen was developed through extensive test work
to solve a major problem within the CIP/CIL process - the effective removal of waste material
from slurries. Our units are capable of screening between 1 50 and 2,000 microns, and are
widely employed for the removal of tramp material from fine mineral or chemical slurries. Our
DELKOR Belt Linear Screen operates with no vibration, which prevents the realignment of
oversize material with the cloth aperture, ensuring retention of all oversize material.
