Tenova TAKRAF Port Equipment

For ports and terminals a variety of batch and continuous loaders and unloaders are provided.
Tenova TAKRAF is proud to highlight that in the field of port equipment it has supplied, among others, two prestigious machines:

- the world largest shiploader
- the world largest continuous shipunloader (CSU).

Tenova TAKRAF supplies grab type unloaders for river and sea vessels. Efficiency, reliability, safety, and environmentally sound operation are key qualities of Tenova TAKRAF equipment.

Different bulk materials, with a wide range of density, can be handled successfully by the same Continuous Ship Unloaders. The flexibility and versatility of these unloaders allow for nearly complete automatic unloading, requiring mobile equipment inside the hold only for the very final clean up.

In addition, Tenova TAKRAF designs and supplies all ranges of shiploaders, whether radial or linear, travelling, slewing and luffing or fixed, luffing and with boom equipped with shuttle. The 20.000 tph shiploader for iron ore and pellets supplied by Tenova to CVRD Sao Luis Terminal in 1983 still represent the world largest machine of its kind.
